Freemasonry is not a religion or a substitute for one. Members must affirm a belief in a Supreme Being; you do not need to practise any particular religion.
Freemasonry welcomes men of good character who affirm a belief in a Supreme Being. The Lodge Secretary can explain eligibility and the application process before you apply.
Meetings are for members and include Lodge administration, charitable business and Masonic ceremonies. Dinners and social gatherings offer opportunities for friendship.
Remuera Lodge meets monthly on a Monday evening. Costs vary by Lodge and include an initiation fee, annual subscription, regalia and dinners. The Lodge Secretary can clarify current costs and the time involved before an application.
